Blake is a typical Mambo team surfer. He will, if pressed, put his hand in his pocket and buy a round of drinks when it’s his turn. He will also give up his seat on a bus to a Scandinavian swimsuit model. He can also do stuff on a wave that the rest of us will only ever do in our dreams.

Blake arrived at Mambo in 2011. He turned up with an impressively big trophy – a mounted shark’s jaw, under his arm, having just won the O’Neill Cold Water Classic in Cape Town, South Africa. When not on the WQS World Surfing Tour carving fluid tracks across the face of some of the world’s most iconic waves, Blake can be found ramping up the celebration level at an after-event party or else banging a little white ball around one of the several golf courses surrounding his home beach, at Maroubra.

Blake recently starred in the Mambo board-short ad ‘epic’, The Most Fun You Can Have With Your Pants On. He’s the blissed-out guy collapsed into the yellow ‘floatie’ with a beer in one hand and a giant blow-up banana in the other. Art imitating life!
